I'm feeling a little crazy today and thinking about going sailing this arvo. Is anyone else sailing (down South)? Don't know if I can brave the freeze though.
Don't worry about the cold, you'll be too busy holding on for dear life. I went out yesterday when the forecast wasn't so strong and had a few problems holding on. I was on a 90 L board with a 5 M sail. I checked BOM when I got home and the wind at the airport got up to 39 knots. Now that was interesting. I know you speed sailors handle these conditions all the time but I was out in the bay and it wasn't the wind so much as the waves that made life difficult.

Buzzy are you turning into a Queenslander, "Ah, but"! So you sailed the flat water side, so a few need for speed runs. Work seemed like a far better option yesterday, if it's windy this arvo I might venture out.
I don't know how to comment on the GPS Challenge site? Anyway I reckon Buzzy has a secret weapon stashed in his van, like speed board etc. That's why he sails alone!!
How was Doran's today? I drove to D'port and it was howling all the way up the midlands, eased off just as I got to Port Sorell, had a good sail though. PB speed in dodgy conditions too!.
You're right Izaac, bearing off down towards the island where the water was dead flat you can feel the speed increase but it's effortless, not like in choppy stuff. Addictive. I love the little "lap lap lap" sound under the board from the 1/2 inch chop, haven't had that since last time I sailed Sandy Point 7-8 years ago. You and James are the luckiest kids around, having that on your front doorstep - I used to windsurf there when I was your age but only had the old windsurfer one design to play on. And I liked your trolleys, carrying my gear down to the water was more exercise than I needed. Good luck (winds) when you go to SP, I hope you get some PBs.
