WT will hold a learn to windsurf day at Lagoon bay on Sunday 18th Jan. This will only be on the Sunday due to work commitments.

Start time will be 11am and will conclude at 3pm

If you know someone that would be interested to learn this is a great opportunity to bring them along and utilise the WT learner gear.

Please contact me prior to event to book in or send me an email with your details.

Buoyancy vests are required on the day. Weather conditions permitting.

The forecast is looking good for Lagoon this weekend, hopefully with a mix of conditions to suit all levels...the water has really warmed up in the last week, Ok for shorty wetsuits I think.

Or on a sunny day, bathers and boardies for Tasmanian born and breed water babies.

Been amazing weather and warm water... I haven't used a wet suit for the last 2 weeks, even sailing in the upper river at papers and Rosevears...
Papers was great but admittedly at Rosevears once the rashy got wet the wind was rather... refreshing...

I have a dingy and outboard organised for the Sunday, but if anyone has access to a Jet ski that would be so much better so please let us know. I have a boat license but pretty sure you need another type for jet skis so would also need a captain

I'm thinking about swapping my crutches for a motorised wheelchair if I put a prop on it I could help with the rescues.............maybe

There is a long history of motorised wheel chair windsurfing instruction......mostly on how not to forward loop....a very useful skill for your average beginner.

Finally we agree on something........ if I drive the wheelchair fast enough off the end of the wharf I'd probably pull off a perfect forward and don't bother about rescue I'm prepared to die for that

Hi Guys
The Learners day will not be held Tomorrow as planned due to the wind forecast not being suitable to take people out. We are expecting Sw winds to 25knts which is onshore to the beach. There will be quite a few experience sailors on the water at lagoon bay if you are still interested to have a talk to or have a look. Please contact me if you are interested in borrowing WT gear...There are four kits available.
