Anyone going sailing tomorrow at Port Sorell? Forecast is: Northwest winds 20 to 30 knots increasing to 30 to 40 knots during the morning then tending westerly at similar speeds in the afternoon. Low tide is late at 5PM.

Henty is looking even better: Northwest winds 30 to 40 knots, possibly reaching 45 knots ahead of a 30 to 40 knot westerly change during the morning.

I'm heading up to Latrobe in the north of the state for a meeting at 9am. Was planning on sailing at Port Sorell in the afternoon, but could just about drive to Henty again and be there by about 2-3PM. Don't really want to do the drive back again from Strahan, but could be tempted if others were going to ...

Sounds good, and quite relieved - wasn't really looking forward to the late night drive back from Strahan so soon!!

I'll definitely be there at Port Sorell tomorrow, so see you then!!

Well well well, it now looks like I don't have to be at Arthur River until, well, dinner time at Marrawah pub, so I'll definately have a board in the van! Either my old stomping ground of Port Sorell around lunchtime (tide too high?), or somewhere else along the coast during the arvo. Any other options (not hard core wave) with that wind? Stanley?

OK. Think I'll check out the bumps at Port Latta or the west beach at Stanley, or whatever looks good along the way.
If it looks good on Saturday for flat water at Port Sorell I might stay in D'port Fri night and have a sail there then.

Hey Easty, maybe you can sail at Port Sorell from around 2:30PM today and head off to Marrawah at around 6PM!! You'd get the best of Port Sorell that way, with low tide before dark at 5PM.
