Hey guys,
if anyone has any thing they want to add for calendar 2019-2020 then perhaps speak up now??? , I believe it is being finalised.
Windsurfing related events..

I know we will be doing a oyster clean up at Dorans in November, depending on tide.. Can that be added please.Last year we had 20 plus people turn up and it is of great benefit for southern windsurfers.

Yes, calendar is being finalised now.

Oyster clean up would be good on calendar if you or someone is willing to coordinate.

Damien, do you have any preferred dates in November?

There are a few different longboard and freerace events in south most weekends except 16-17 Nov - but can always be on the "non event" day of one of the other weekends.

I will organize the cleanup no worries.

If we can leave it open date for November as it depends on tides and weather.

Last tweaks have been made the Calendar, It should be published in the next 24 hrs or so, as there were a few last minute updates.
PS. Thanks to Jo for updating on the course events. Jo and Clarence have put a lot of time into working out how we can effectively promote participation without stepping on each other's toes (WT & Yacht Clubs).

All that is required now is some wind
Cheers,
Mort

There has been a bit of confusion over the calendar regarding events at Australian Sailing (AS) " yacht" Clubs and WT events.

At national and state level, there is an ongoing story around this (insurances, affiliation etc).

Jo Chau and I (and AWA reps) have been working on this for some time.

Yes, there will be some confusion and fuzzy edges, but we will get information out in the coming weeks to clarify as much as possible.

This is the first season of this arrangement, so please be patient and ask a question if you have one. We think benefits to windsurfing will outweigh the initial confusion / teething problems.

And we need to remember to put the Oyster Clean up on there (Team Oyster, Oyster Clean Up, Blue Oyster Bar- gets very confusing too).
