Not like we need to put the pressure on anyone. make them feel like they need too out perform anyone else. ah, thats the windsurfing attitude!!!, go hard , go home or smash the tassie record!!!!.
Well buzzy i did manage to break the 45 knot barrier first, but then Perks went one better. I have not seen a bigger grin on anyones face except for Perks, really great to be there. We all got Pbs which was epic
Stanley speed strip, only open to TAS residents, well done perks, cookie ,and crew dangerous ,speed, absolutely bull****, effort ,10 points, champions.speed freaks.
The results are awesome, well done you pack of inbred northerner's. Hopefully they will still stand after the swab tests are returned. We all thought Cookie the heavy weight would clean up, but no that pesky lightweight Perkins steals the show and smashes the ball out of the park, never to be seen again.
a little help kazza heres what I just posted on the challenge
thanks all for your words ,it was a great day in the way that the wind started off around 28kts and built all session. It was tough for Barry who came out just as it got serious around 30/35kts. At this point we all started to get PBs so big smiles were on faces, but over the next hour as the wind went 40+ and the chop came up. The looks on our faces changed to a very serious half smile as we grabbed our top speeds. All of as had some close moments and crashes .Congratulations to Cookie for a top 2sec, and a day and state winning 5x10. Izaak did well on PBs really hot on our heels as your form came on pity the conditions bet you in the end. well done Jordan great PBs mate. Brave sailing for a light weight guy. Well done Barry next time you might get a bit lighter to start so you can get used to the conditions a little more gradually.
Andrew, great day for the light weight speed sailors. Judging by the comments there will be more of us out there next time ,Tassie boys
Sorry Ray couldn't be there. He broke a couple of ribs on Saturday speed Sailing at Stanley getting ready for Monday. It doesn't come with risk speed sailing. Frown
Well done to all who sailed at Stanley on Monday and produced PB's. I think we can all agree it has gone down in the record books as THE day for GPS Speed Sailing in TAS. Well done guys!!
I was telling Rob yesterday how you guys sometimes wear lead vests, he said why don't they just go to the bakery more often! Sounds like a more delicious option to me
Wow the Advocate is good at supporting you guys. Wish The Mercury down here showed the same interest, they're too busy writing about boring cricket and AFL drug tests and where Prince William & Kate are travelling to next with their baby.
Great article, how did you get it in (not literally), did you send in the photo and the words in? we should try and do more in the Mercury and the Examiner. Can you explain the process
