For those of you who may not know, Windsurfing Tasmania has a facebook page.

As of the AGM last week, I am going to take it on and use it to promote windsurfing in Tasmania a little more.

I only have 12 friends on facebook, so if you guys do some likes, comments and shares, I may end up with a few more .

Jokes aside, the purpose is about spreading the word about how awesome windsurfing is, especially to a wider audience than that on seabreeze.

I am hoping to share a broad message about the sport- learn to sail days, wavesailing, GPS, beginners, advice, events, race results, new spots etc - that may spark the interest of other potential participants.

So, get on and follow/like Windsurfing Tasmania on facebook, and if you have any info that deserves a wider audience than seabreeze, email me or post it to the page.

Good work
here is the link. www.facebook.com/WindsurfingTasmania/?fref=ts
Might be worth changing the profile picture to a windsurfing related one.

I do not have a great pool of windsurfing photos, so I would invite anyone to submit their pictures to put up on the site. Note that something which is more "landscape" than "portrait" style works best for the big photo.

Gillian has posted lots of great pics on seabreeze which I could use, but I don't want people thinking this is all about Lagoon Bay and the Launceston crowd.

Thanks for the feedback.

Probably best not too post past images. It might be better to post things as they happen rather than the old stuff. Unless its a classic shot of somewhere or somebody.

Send the photos in (old or new). Given the new likes/interest in the WT facebook page, it is obviously reaching a far wider audience than just the "rusted on" seabreeze followers like us here (humour in case anyone is unsure).

The FB page reach is something like 90 in just a few days- far more than the WT membership or active contributors on seabreeze for Tasmania.

What may seem "old" for some of us on seabreeze, may have a huge "wow" factor for the wider audience. Even on seabreeze alone there are a whole lot of photos I have never seen, from people I have never met in Tasmania, that are well worth posting.

I don't want to flood the FB page with repetitious, same old-same old (I would envisage a post of info every week or two), but there is so much good stuff going on out there that a lot of people simply do not know about.

Hi all, especially Hobart/NW coast people (and east coast people too Rumchaser).

The Windsurfing Tasmania facebook page is going very well and getting masses of attention far and wide.

I want to make sure EVERYONE feels like they have a chance to post and contribute.

If you have any good photos, stories, videos or other info do not hesitate to send it my way.
