I was in Invy Sat night with a car full of gear, woke up, beautiful weather, building breeze, nice breakfast, lots of encouragement from significant other to go and have a sail.

For the first time in my life I considered the activity of the Jet Skis (one in particular) to make the waterway unsafe and I chose to head home to have a sail.

One guy was doing 30+ knots past canoes.

Was I in the wrong spot? Should I have just waited for higher tide and sailed area 51?

Thoughts?

Jon,
i know exactly what you mean...I dropped out of the Tarwin Marathon on Sunday and on the way back, I encountered that goose on the flouro JetSki who was running the sandbank from Pensioners Point down to the boat ramp. He was going way too quick for the conditions and for the number of vessels in the area.
I couldn't get the rego details but I wish I did...that guy was dangerous.

You mean T****....? I have video and stills. Now if only I knew someone who made watersports videos - it would be a nice "promotional" vid for Inverloch lol... Sadly I didn't get him going 5-10 metres from the kayakers.
