Better Boating Victoria and Bass Coast Council have removed all the natural vegetation on the eastern side of the boat ramp facility. Inverloch Windsurfing Club has organise with Mering Corp, landowners on the eastern side of the boat ramp, and West Gippsland Catchment Authority to plant out 350 native plants along the fenceline. WGCMA are fencing an area from behind the toilet block, along the car park and towards the sea wall.
This planting will provide shelter from the easterlies that we so love at Area 45.

IWC has agreed to provide sweat dollars to the project and has agreed to plant out the 350 plants.
We need 25 plus volunteers to make this happen!
A lot of our windsurfing community have enjoyed Area 45 Mahers Landing for the brilliance of its flat water. Providing plenty of smiles for speed, freestyle and cruising over the years.
It's time to give back to the place that has put so many smiles on faces.
Kick off time 9.00am
Dress to the conditions but long pants, gloves and boots are recommended.
The more that come along the quicker it will be done, so bring family and friends
