G`day all.
I was one of the guys there early and did a walk of shame. Had to leave early as I had to leave the caravan park with wife and kids in tow. Nice to see a couple of guys I hadn`t seen since the warm weather (bit soft). Sure to meet up again over the coming months, filled out the Inverloch sail form and gave to Doug. Looking forward to some of the things he has planed.

I was the first one out today - on the water at 8am with a 6.6 and Futura 111. Damn that board is good! Just rock solid and confidence inspiring in the chop that was building. Felt like a PB on one run - reckon it took me 15s to cross the inlet. Not that I had the presence of mind to count. Have to buy a GPS I guess!

After the wind came in, with mad gusts and holes from moment to moment, things got much harder...
Changed to a 4.2 and 85L fsw but the tide running in made keeping upwind a challenge.

I reckon the sandbar is much bigger too. Found myself looking wisfully at kiters as they glided across the 10cms of water I was trudging through on my own walk of shame.

Though after 3 windless days, it was a walk I was happy to take!

BTW I think the PITCREW will need to look over their shoulders a bit after the Inverloch Club posts

PB for me too....the strip just lined up beautifully towards the end of the day. If you could get over the chop and the start, you were in for a sweet ride.

I witnessed Old Salty's new stopping manouuvre- harness line snapped and board did a forward somersault about 6 feet in the air while rider did a back somersault. Very graceful!!
