The third Windsurfing Victoria Course Racing Clinic is planned for this sunday morning (3/09), at Mordialloc Sailing Club.

The sun is forecast to be out, hopefully we get a bit more wind than we did at the first two! If you are interested in course racing, or just have a longboard and feel like getting it out and taking part, please come down and join us (No racing experience required).

The idea is to have some marks in the water for practise starts, and board handling exercises, with the emphasis on having fun and getting on the water.

This weekend WV will have 2x NP RS:One kits for this event. The RS:One is one of the new course racing kits that has been developed for the weekend racer.

Time:- 10:30 on the water for about an hour
If you can be there around 10:00, and be rigged and ready to go on water at 10:30
Cost:- $5 for the morning session

Everyone will be required to be a WV member (forms available sunday)

Moordialloc Sailing Club has a fully stocked canteen, bar, shower facilities, and a decent coffee machine!!

I definitely would love to trade my 27 year old Fanatic Cobra 220 Litre and 366cm for a RS:One. It's like a semi trailer can drive 130k's down hill too, but it's not very pleasant to do so. I think the RS:One has a good wind range and I have witnessed WindRider blasting past me full on the plane in the straps whilst I had no hope to get on it on the longboard. In very light winds the longboard is a tad faster. In winds stronger than 17 knots I would probably prefer a floaty short board, so for me I currently have a board range for all winds, i just have to swap boards whilst the RS:One can cover it. Wished to have 3 - 4 knts more on Sunday to get on the plane with the RS:One to tell.

Early days for me, try before buy, thats for shure.

Anybody made a choice, and why?

WOD were not forgotten I'm an old time Wally sailor and racer. The questions were about the new modern day gear. The WOD are a big part of the WV race series.
