Where is every one windsurfing this weekend?

Myself:
Saturday – Hopefully locally at Bonno or at the VWS event.
Sunday – If not enough wind then maybe some spring cleaning (sails and baords;).

Refer to the extract from BOM forecast below for Port Philip Bay.
Local Waters Forecast for Port Phillip
Forecast issued at 5:10 am EST on Friday 9 September 2011.

Saturday 10 September
Winds Southwesterly 20 to 30 knots decreasing to 20 to 25 knots during the morning then tending west to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots by early evening. Seas 1 to 2 metres.

Sunday 11 September
Winds South to southwesterly 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots during the evening. Seas 0.5 to 1.5 metres.

Please note; these are not Windsurfing Victoria Inc organised events and this post is to be used as information only. The intent of this post is for windsurfers to post where they could be going to windsurf this weekend and for other windsurfers to possible come and join them.

Can you take your GoPro with you? Share some of the height!

As they say in the classics - "pics or it didn't happen" :P

Steve, don't you have one of those height gps devices (can't think of the name atm)?

I'll be at Inverloch also.

I never saw anyone sailing at Green Point unless it's north, SW is ok to sail at Hampton Beach (just 500m south), but can be a tricky shore break. Had a look this arvo at Dendy Street Brighton (just a tad north of GP), was nice and flat to get out and I nearly rigged, but the wind was all over the place with all the fronts.

Great day Saturday at Inverloch. 5m weather for the whole morning. Pretty lumpy though which was a lot of fun!

I was somewhat underpowered on a 5.4m race thingy sail on a narrow ironing board thingy...

It's a strange feeling trying to hook in and realising that the harness hook is actually under water (85kg on a 63l board with a race thingy sail that weighs a ton)

On the plus side, I planed out of my fastest duck gybe ever and made 8 360s in the afternoon when I changed to proper gear...
