Well I guess I will kick it off this week.

I will be trying my luck with the boys down at Elwood at the Sternchaser event.

Thanks Jermaldan, I was away for my 1st year wedding anniversary yesterday and did get chance to log on. Though I did get great sail during the day while the wife worked.
Today I will be heading to Elwood to help out the Stern Chaser and will have to wait and see what the weather will bring for the weekend.

Not sure what came last night, but we just got home from being away in Crown Towers and our front garden plants are all squashed. We must of had some major rain or something.

the lake was good but gusty and had it all to myself due to the torrential rain.

was rigged with a 6.7, could just about hold the power when the gusts came through.
had my firstcatapult where my front leg got trapped between board and mast on impact, then full flip over. i was expecting to hear a snap, had to do the old "ok, check the leg BEFORE you stand back up"

all was good, had a fun exciting sesh.
connewarra got two thumbs up

We had the Stern Chaser race at Elwood today in the rain. It was a fun event and the after party was even better. If it's going to be this enjoyable in bad weather, then the good weather will be fantastic. Bring on the rest of the season.

Thanks for all who came along today and tonight.

Nasi I was down at 1 to around 1.30, must have missed you. Place was empty apart from some P platers pashing on.

Just as well though, I later found the new board I collected has a crack underneath and is U/S......... getting sorted though

i was late getting down there, got there at 2pm.
jeez that slip road down to the rigging area is gnarly when its wet.
had to first gear at 6000 revs to get back up the mud ramp to brinsmead road!!

that sesh was my first proper, proper sesh out at the lake, gotta say even tho the weather was ****e i am in love with that place. the whole lake seems to be 1.5 metre deep. it will look sensational in summer !!!
