Just getting back into sailing after a somewhat enforced - by a MTB, a Forrest track, and my body bouncing off the ground - layoff.
Unfortunately when rigging yesterday I realised that my boom, and its spare, are both, well, pretty much stuffed. (One had a cracked clamp head and the other is popping out the boom arm.)
Replacement needed.
Any recommendations/advice??
I do everything from flat to B&J to waves...

Junky, Chinook alloy all the way. Mine is going on 4 years and my 110kegs plus wetty abusing it hasn't failed me. I mainly sail flatwater bay b&j too.

You might consider the Severne aluminium Blueline and Metal ranges, from The Zu.
Very stiff, excellent front-end clamp and easy to adjust twin-pin rear ends. Only disadvantage is that they are mast-specific in the front end, without an adapter to swap.
Loved the Chinook front-end clamp and wide rear ends: hated the blue anodising which wore through very quickly. Of course, there's always carbon to solve that problem.
