Hey guys and gals, I frequent Chelsea yacht club and launch from the beach, I'm relatively new intermediate rider and would love someone to have a look at my technique and set up to get some pointers to progress, I find reading all this info is one thing but to go through it in person would prove invaluable. Anyone interested in going for a sail in the coming weeks?

Cheers!

Hello chazwazza

Im not sure is you are already aware but a lady Connie has recently begun organising a group of beginner / intermediates together to sail out of Chelsea and has found an instructor who is happy to give coaching. I can pass you onto her if you like. She has organised a session for this weekend in fact.

G'day everyone,

I'm also an intermediate windsurfer, looking to find others to go out on the water with.

Back in Cornwall in the UK we had a Saturday club at a watersports centre, where an instructor coached our technique. I've had a hard time finding any windsurfing clubs since coming to Melbourne!

If that group is still operating out of Chelsea (or any other group), can anyone pass me the details?

Thanks!

We have a number of training days in the season. Nice flattish waters of Inverloch. Cheers, Pete

If theres any wind about (particularly northerlies), there is usually someone out at Bonbeach which is only a minute south of chelsea. There is a car park right on the foreshore same as chelsea YC. They are all a friendly bunch of guys so feel free to drop in and say g;day and we can give you some tips.

Thanks guys - really appreciate it. I'll mess around in the area of St Kilda and a bit south - Chelsea sounds good, and I'll try to drop in to Inverloch when I can...

Sadly I work random shifts and can't do a regular sailing day, but it'll be good to get to know some of you guys as and when we cross tacks ;)
