I think the 14 meters was an error or perhaps freak wave... that would be a pretty solid wave it was to hit the shore or a bombie.

Usually it starts breaking a fair bit out. A fair bit in front of the last break wall on the southerly end.

It does need a very big swell and a lot of east in it to really get any decent size or power. Also, the tide needs to be right for it work. Add to that the sand banks that keep shifting and you know why getting a good day here is like winning the lottery.

I haven't seen the place with a decent wave in about 4 years. I am not entirely sure this will be happening tomorrow.
