Doggie is from the surfing forum and can now be found trolling the SUP forum

Hey Doggie Im glad you are wanting to learn a real wind sport

Like Mineral said try Windforce. They are selling their school and rental boards.
Greenie, lets get a few things straight. Its shortboards, god forbid anyone thinking I surf a longboard, sheesh!!

and I would call it trolling but just keeping a close eye on those fellas from SUP

Yea they are just down the road from work so I will have a look. Im going to have a look at a board on Wed nite cheep mite be the go

Doggie - you seem to have a lot of posts in the longboard forum for someone who does not surf longboards...
ohh well warm welcome to the windsurf scene and hope you have heaps of fun.
You may want to consider doing a beginners course and just rent gear for the first couple of weeks / months instead of buying gear that you quickly grow out of. A lot of beginners quickly (with the right instruction) advance from beginner-beginners gear (say 150-180l) to beginners gear which is smaller (say 110-130l) and more fun.
lets us know how u you progress!
