120 litre board seem a bit small to learn on, I've got an old Bic Veloce 328,(175 litres x70 wide) perfect for learning everything up to planning in the straps and harness and also very cheap if your interested.

Doggie - you seem to have a lot of posts in the longboard forum for someone who does not surf longboards...

ohh well warm welcome to the windsurf scene and hope you have heaps of fun.

You may want to consider doing a beginners course and just rent gear for the first couple of weeks / months instead of buying gear that you quickly grow out of. A lot of beginners quickly (with the right instruction) advance from beginner-beginners gear (say 150-180l) to beginners gear which is smaller (say 110-130l) and more fun.

lets us know how u you progress!
