Hi All,
I'm trying to help out an inexperienced friend who bought a complete set of windsurfing gear for her youngsters to learn on. Unfortunately she overpaid for unsuitable 90's equipment and is now stuck with it!
I checked it out and there are some gems amongst it including a beautiful Strapper waveboard & bag (which I might buy for the garage wall! - or to try out...?) There's a superlight Windtech slalom/raceboard? and a bunch of fins including carbon race/weed fins.
Is there any interest in this stuff or must it all go to landfill?
Advertised on gumtree - let me know what you think - any ideas?
Cheers
Sinker
There's certainly interest here (Mandurah) in the old windtech and fins.
I'll see if I can find it on gumtree.
OK I see you've put the fins as powerbox and us box. Are you sure there aren't any tuttle boxes amongst them, that's what most slalom race boards use these days.
And while looking I found this old thread about a similar board.

I doubt you'll get $180.00 dollars for the windtech
...sad really! I got a call from a very knowledgeable bloke about the Strapper slalom... he's offering $20... I'm not sure I have the heart to tell her... :(
Did you want to make an offer on the windtech and fins? some of them are beautiful, carbon etc... definitely break your top speed record with it ;)
Yes they're tuttle box not power box... I'll change the ad. Cheers.
No mate, they need modification to make them safe, and I've lost interest in doing that, similar with fins. But there are a couple of sailors that may be interested. I'll put the word out.
Thanks ??
sorry, asked my mate who I thought might be intersted, and he told me, he'd bought 2 of them a few years ago, along with some fins for $50, and he was over it now. Yesterday he was riding a new Windtech.

I was about to offer you a board (for you) but also have a couple of 10 y/o Ezzy Wave sails in good nick you could have for them.
Plus a source of maybe cheap beginner board.
