My 10 and 14 year old daughters are starting to talk windsurfing again. The problem is that the Starboard Go (or Start or whatever it is - the small orange ones) is getting too small for even the youngest - they are both tall and heavy at 45 & 65ish kgs - and because they need to start again with the basics I'm looking at the options for this summer.

I'll most likely take them for a few paid lessons (again) and then if I can find something suitable in the second hand market we will head off to Lucky Bay or Pelican Point for further fun.

I'm not having much luck in the "buy & sell" section for WS boards and I have absolutely no idea with SUPs. I'll get my act together and sell the kids gear I already have once I get something more suitable. I might have to head down to a couple of shops and see what's around.......

Ok..... fire away with your suggestions !! One that comes to mind is "stop feeding them"

I'm not sure what you mean the Start/Go is too small. They are big boards, for beginners and should be able to take a 100kg guy. Or did you mean the mean the sail? Perhaps get hold of a second hand wave sail 3m?

I just checked out the board and its one of the mid 2000s StarSurfer boards. 216cm x75cm giving a volume of about 88 litres which is getting too small for the oldest kid (she's closer to 70kgs) and still usable for the youngest but would be better with a bigger board.....
