Hi all

Been in Perth a couple months, got all the kit sorted and having lots of fun and improving a lot with, finally, fairly regular sailing at my local spot Pinnaroo... this lovely dream was however, rudely shattered when I went with a few friends camping up to Lancelin last weekend. Didn't take windsurf gear for various reasons, watched the Ocean Classic Saturday and then made the mistake of going to Lancelin to watch the slalom on Sunday...then I saw it, those sails off in the distance zipping around some rather tasty looking waves...aaaaaaaa

So have made the plea bargain with the wife, who is soon to be a windsurfing widow most weekends that have any swell/wind! Questions, what's it like out there, nasty shallow reefs etc and conditions generally? I've done a bit of wave sailing before in the UK but nothing gnarly as yet and anyone go there regularly? Keen to hook up with other sailors for weekend trips, esp as its so darn close for me, only just over an hour!

just make sure you dont sail out the back, on your own, with a dodgy UJ..........


otherwise you will have to get rescued (if your lucky) by one of the local fisherman.

Ah nice nice, thought I had heard it wasn't too gnarly, so good starting point, all I need now is some sailing company, just PM me if you are regular/semi regular and don't mind an additional tag along...

with good waves to boot it was abit of circus with a lot of acts

I was out then ,waves were very average for passage fat,wide & onshore only lastes 45mins.
Its gets way way better than that!
