Im moving to Perth to attend UWA postgrad starting Feb 2011. I am a decent wavesailor (ie addicted to finding clean side off) and want to live somewhere I can get to some down the line sailing when it sets up and some consistant time on the water when not. What beaches would you live near if you had to be at school in the week? Shoot me a message at [email protected], looking to travel and sail as much as possible, any advice moving to the area? Perth is fantastic for windsurfing that is for certain, BUT, you wont be finding any "clean side off" around perth.
Its ALL side on, unless you head north, or far south.

youll need more than a car mate a cryistal ball you can get them at freo markets im sure it will work occasionally

Crystal ball would help il work on that, helpful advice. Back to my original question: where would you live if you had to go to Crawley lots and also wanted to windsurf? Worth living somewhere else and commuting or just traveling from there?

If I were you I would live near the Uni (Nedlands, Crawley etc). You can sail at Pelican Point very easily (not wavesailing but at least you can get on the water), and also you will have very little travel time between your classes at Uni and your gear. So when you finish Uni, you head home, get your car and gear and go wherever you want.
