Hi All, I am new to the area and was wondering when the windsurf season starts here and is there much happening on the estuary off Falcon, as I see there is good parking and a nice beach to launch off, although I can see it might be tidal dependant as it looks pretty shallow at times…I am still a bit of a newbie and it has been quite a while since I had my board out, I am not asking for hand holding, but it would be nice to be out there when others are 👍

Hi Ange, welcome to Mandurah.
There's quite a community here around Falcon.
The season has started if you have big gear, Waricle and Maree were out at Liptons yesterday.
Waricle's observations. from the GPSTC site
Peel Inlet, WA, AU CA66 LSB 6.8 Fangy 22 Sunny light to moderate cold breeze fairly steady. Tide not too low. A short but sweet session with Maree. Did I mention that I am unfit?
Conditions on the estuary can be phenomenal, but it depends on weed growth, in a good season we can have glass at 20kts in some spots.
Fingers crossed for this year!!!

There's quite a few people who sail from Novara, parking on Dampier Rd just west of Janice Ave, there's generally a blue trailer there when the wind is blowing

Thanks both, is there a thread that I have missed where people post on to meet up?

The "Mandurah Mob" are using a Slack forum, you'll have to talk nicely to us to get on it.
in Summer sea breezes, we can spread out a bit, Coodunup, Novarra or Liptons
