Hi All,

Following many years of dedicated service we are saying goodbye to a few key committee members at the end of this season and we wanted to get plans underway early to transition to some fresh blood. There will be an open committee meeting on Monday 22nd February at Fremantle Sailing club at 7:30pm. This is open to all members and non-members and in particular anyone who's keen to get involved with WWA. This is also a great time to say thanks to Tim Brazier who's stepping down as president at the end of the season after 10 years! Note the intention is that the president role should be for no more than 2 years so it's not supposed to be a life sentence. If you are interested in coming on Monday please let us know by emailing [email protected].

Thanks to everyone who came to the committee meeting this week. It was great to hear different perspectives about what WWA can do for different interest groups within WA.
We don't yet have a solution for what WWA looks like going forward but we started the conversation and we will continue (online at least in the short term) so if you want to be involved in shaping WWA for the future please let us know and email [email protected].
There's so much potential for windsurfing in WA as we've seen in particular from the Gero kids camp, Cervantes and Margs events this Summer, but for these events to continue to exist we do need a small team to keep the association alive.
