Summers coming and it's going to get hot. My current bucket hat doesn't work great for winging, too much forward speed (15-20 knots) and it starts blowing back on my head. Anyone had any success with brands that don't blow back?

Fcs hats are great.
Check out Shelta hats as well - great design...

Both the FCS and Dakine hats have a firm bill in front. I can recommend either of them.

Those hats are bad for the wingsurfer image tho, I wouldnt put one on your head if you care about our reputation. We're already moving from the long haired & fit body demigod image to the bald & overweight middle aged man image, adding the buckethat wont help! (Just kidding ofcourse)

Shelta hats all the way. Toss in a bump cap and your set

Thanks everyone, ordered the FCS, the Shelta was too expensive for something easily lost.

The Neil Pryde is the best Ive ever owned, good shade, good straps, quick dry, good ventilation not hot and sweaty and being windsport- branded gets over 'white of hearts' (above) insecurities!

I picked up a Rip Curl one recently which not only fitted my large bounce but had a neck flap which I thought is handy

I've salvaged a Mystic bucket hat floating in the water. Must have come off somebody's head. Strangely enough, it doesn't come off when I windsurf, even in forward loops attempts. When it blows back, it does so only upwards, but only in speeds that way out of reach for most wingfoilers. I haven't tried it for wingfoiling as my current lack of skill makes a helmet more than welcome.
