Wondering if owners of Cedrus mast could tell me how it holds up with regards to corrosion and infrequent disassemblies? I foil in salt water and since I live next by the ocean, I do not like to disassemble unless it's for changing setup. With Armstrong no problem, but thinking of changing brand. I understand this will vary depending on what foil adapter you use the mast with, obviously.

Ok looking for some real world data, I know cedrus mast is supposed to be disassembled after use and rinsed.

Please reply with your use pattern, what foil system you use it with, and how it's holding up in practise.

I loosen all screws after each session. Then rinse.
I take the plate and adaptor off for a thorough rinse every now and then.

Ive only disassembled a couple times but I rinse with fresh water after most uses and I use tef gel and loctite. I've had zero issues with corrosion after ~50 sessions over the past year.
I found that some of the bolts loosened pretty often and I had to use loctite blue to keep them snug (I think it's because there is very little compression in the system).
im using it with a custom direct mount stringy fuselage for Takuma (90% of the time) as well as a Cabrinha adapter (pretty new to me).
