I had my first parawing session on a 3m flow in only 8 to 12 knots and the wing behaved quite well in the rare gusts and dropped when there was no wind as you would expect. I don't think it needs a lot of wind to fly.

I have now had 2 sessions on a 3m ozone and it is not that hard to learn and control at all if you have some solid winging and kiting behind you. Once up on foil it is a beautiful thing in my opinion and feels home pretty quick.

Eppo you will be away first session with a balanced parawing in the right conditions. The gybe are a little mystery and am only making some accidently.

Yeh i've had probably 6 sessions on it - i'm up and away on it - flag and pump - release para again - keep going - have done like 25km last two days that's straight line distance.

but if flies like absolute Dog sh1t. As i said before i've probably had collectively 10 years of kiting experience flying foils - i kinda know when bridles are not right and this thing is a cluster fck - but i was able to manage it because of my foil kite experience. I challenge any newby to use this abortion if a thing.

Anyhow - apparently they have some on production - just hoping it doesn't take another 3 months to get it.

ps as you can tell I'm starting to get a little pissed now. So take my comments with a grain of salt and understand it's mad eppo talking.

Instead of repairing those wings, we're offering a full warranty replacement for all affected D-Wings.

We have received very positive feedback and reviews and the biggest quality of our wings is the stability and ease of use, so the reports here are clearly from wings produced in this isolated batch.

We sincerely apologise for this and we are working hard to replace all the affected D-Wings within the next couple of weeks.

If you know the batch - are you contacting those who are affected Felipe or is there any way for owners to tell if their wing is affected other than the flying characteristics?

We are contacting all those who are affected individually and are already organising the production of new units and shipping details. We should be able to start shipping the replacements at the end of next week.

The issue was due to the wrong line set being installed. The canopy itself is perfectly fine. However we don't believe it's reasonable to ask owners to replace an entire line set on a brand-new product, so we're sending out new D-Wings instead.

To confirm this in reality - got another email today - they are sending out a new one to me next week. Kudos to Flow for sorting this out.

Well i'm up and going and stowing with incorrect bridle set (but it's a wild as bronco ride lol) so can't wait for the correct setup!

Do the trailing edge bridles do this as well .?

Both my 3m and 4.2m do that, and Flow confirmed they were part of the bad batch.

My wing has the slack lines. Felipe says it's normal.

The brake slack break lines near the trailing edge are normal, they will be under tension when twisting the bar to turn the wing.

Anyone either received their replacement wing or have a ship date? I thought I heard the issue was with the bridal and line length. I'm wondering if Flow would be willing to sell the correct part of the bridal so we can keep this batch out of the landfill.

Haven't received anything other than it will be replaced. I sent them an email over a week ago requesting a realistic expectation for delivery considering the current backlog of orders and now the replacement of this batch, I also asked if there's any bridle reconfiguration to at least improve the flying characteristics or send a replacement bridle set, I have not received a reply. My concern is that I waited 6 weeks for delivery for the wing initially and this may be a similar situation.

At our local we have a 4.2m from the first shipment and comparing our 4.2m (3 of us with a 4.2 and another with a 3m) the bridle is configured differently let alone talk of the incorrect line lengths. The original has the B lines configured on the rear half of side edges of the wing whereas ours are all A lines. When flying on the beach side by side, you can see the wing tips constantly collapse and want to dive down to the ground on our wings.

well that sounds a nightmare to try and remedy then.

Hence the warranty invoking just sending out new ones.

Yeah, did something similar, slight improvement but nothing like the original (correct bridled) version I am comparing to. It appears my B lines near the wing tips (about 4 cells up from the wing tip) are potentially too short resulting in lines towards the wing tips to not hold tension and tips to flap and collapse.

Unfortunate as the original wing ive tried is so good and our season has just started and firing and want to get out there.

and put the replaced aft orange lines back on the red bridle ?

Funny you say this . after a run flew it in the beach the other day and by slightly pulling in the orange bridle in your pic . the wing tip def didn't collapse as it had been.

I did not move any orange lines, just moved the red lines onto the orange bridle. Mine at least did not originally have any orange lines to the wingtips
