I was just wondering how the frigate lines up with other wings in terms of sizing. I know a 4m should be a 4m but as we all know from wings and kites that doesn't always line up properly when comparing different models from different brands.
How does the frigate compare to a v1 Dwing? Is the 4.2m Dwing v1 closer to a 4m or 4.7m frigate? I saw one rider saying the 4.7 frigate didn't have much more low end than the 4.2 Dwing?
I am thinking of maybe replacing my 4.2 Dwing with a frigate if there's some good deals coming up. In the quiver with the 4.2 Dwing I currently have a 3m and 5.4m PT skin. Would a 4m frigate sit well between the 2 PT skins?

A 4m frigate could be a great daily driver for me especially during Perth summers, not in a rush though as summers almost over.

Been using the 4m Frigate for last couple of weeks as daily driver in wind ranging from 14-30kts. . it spills the excess well when over-lit and the low end is lush. . . highly recommend. 80kg rider on 75L Armie ML n stripey foils

damn you must have some skills to hold a 4m frigate down in 14-30 kts I can barely hold my 4m frigate in 25 kts pretty much my tops at 100kgs plus maybe its my foil too big in high winds have to rethink what i have underwater on higher wind days, that said around 25 kts plus the 4m frigate gets a little sketchy/twitchy

I would tend to agree with Broomerang and I'm 75kg. Definitly not comfortable but doable if just gusting to 30knts. Still trucks upwind in the big gust but would prefer the 3m if consistently over 20 knts. I tend to use the 4m for a downwind run because of this range and just wanting plenty of pull to get going for a few seconds before stashing on a swell. If only downwinding, I could get away with just the 4m but I'm still doing quite a bit of upwind/downwind sessions. I've played with the 4.3m Powerpack to see if the packdown is substantially better and will probably stay with the frigates for DW.

Yep could do it DW no worries. Up down would be not enjoyable. So nice to use the 2.5 in 25 plus. Fang upwind in control and effortless pack away back downwind. Super fun para.
