Any one getting swollen knuckles from gripping there ding Or iz it just me. They always feel light in the hands I'm using Smik. Feel the handles are plenty comfortable. Mabe an increase in diameter would help. Nuerofen helps but not really the answer.

I try to not grip so hard. Just hook the fingers around the handle. Change the handles every now and then to second and second last. I have used gloves in winter.
Try a harness or mini boom. If you are on the tools a lot you might have 'white finger'.

I'm 36 and My finger joints were killing me when I was on my F-one. I added a half piece of pvc pipe and duct taped it to the handle to try and remove the 'U' shape. That seemed to help. Imagine hanging from something for long periods of time, you'd want it to be straight, not some floppy U shape webbing. The u shape just creates a lot of sheering forces on the knuckles.

I've since switched to BRM which has great ergonomic straight rigid handles and the pain has not returned. Although I haven't been on the water nearly as much.

Use a boom , your grip will be completely different with a wider grip and not crushing your fingers and much easier to hang on with your fingertips and not a clenched grip.

I haven't tried these on the wing yet, but I was planning to. They are Water Ski Slalom gloves, and the webbing/nylon thing allows you to grip the handle with just a bit of downward pressure on your fingers, and transfers all the load up above your wrist.

There are no problems with not being able to release the handle, if you push your fingers out the bar just comes away.

I use these for Wakeboarding. I go pretty hard on the wakeboard when I get to do it, and without the gloves I wouldn't last more than 10 minutes before the handle would start getting ripped out of my hands when jumping. With the gloves I can keep going for much longer, as I only really need to grip hard during a jump.

If the weather is good this weekend I'll give them a try on the wing, but I think they would work a treat for longer sessions. I have a boom, so they would be perfect for that - I've never used a wing with handles though, so not sure if that would be any different.

OK... Forget that. I tried them out this afternoon and they suck.

They made everything more difficult, couldn't get the fingers into the handles on the board or the one on the front of the Wing. Even felt like there was more force on my hands when holding the Wing...

I should have tried it before I posted...
