Lower standards?
I've logged my requisite 50 days windsurfing Kailua.
I enjoyed playing Swell City on my slalom boards but saved my 3 wave boards for DH, North Shore, and Moks.
Locals would laugh at me for "carving" the swells. Told me to ride "real" surf.
Little did they knew I actually spent twice as many days at the wave spots, but also enjoyed some stress free flat water and green water swells.
I was already old back in the '90's.....40.
