what do you mean other than too much back foot pressure?

ive recently moved on to a HA1400 with a 95 hover. Out of interest my mast is middleish.
I know what you mean about getting up on foil in chop. You need board speed and to keep the board more level when getting on foil. when I go out in heavy sea/chop I find I breach a lot as do not have enough board speed and using too much back foot pressure. I really focus on front foot pressure and rise out of the water gradually.
I am ex windsurfer and it takes a lot to change technique, I first started riding it like a windsurfer but now ride over the foil and a more central, balanced stance. 100% better. experiment, time on the water, it will happen.
