Duotone like keeping new products secret ahead of a big launch, but some users swap to systems offering what they want now in stead of waiting to find out if Duotone might. If they knew what was coming they might hang on.

No brands announce foils before launch but some brands launch on pre order. how long was it you heard of the art v2 before launch? 2 days on forums yet I know people who had them on test for 2 months. good thing with Duotone is on launch day their main retailers will have stock. they might also tell you what is coming up if you are a valued customer
I guess that makes sense... as the Glide series is their best selling foil range, they would probably like to keep it user friendly to have a broad appeal. the one pictured that Finn Spencer is holding looks like AR 13+ or something

Maybe one of them could have a chat with the Cedrus mast guy (Kyle Lobisser) and talk about compatibility of their masts with Duotone. I know you might sell fewer masts that way, but you might also get new customers who already have Cedrus masts and want to switch foil brands from something else. I think all Kyle needs is a fuselage (or part of the fuselage) to test with and a couple of measurements.

Any news on why change mast lengths and their intended uses?Winging and before changing to Duotone 90 mast I used another brand's 85 which due to different ways of measuring was only 3-4 cm shorter. I found the Duotone more 'detached' and less responsive, I guess as a bit longer so think 94 will be even worse, on the other hand in big chop I bounce off and survive and feel with 84 I'ld smash to a standstill.

Using the 90cm myself and it flexes a bit too much in my opinion. But the new d lab masts have changed how they lay up the carbon fibers which should add torsional strength.

The improved torsional strength is interesting but still unsure if 84 will be too short and hit chop, and 94 too long and unresponsive.
The new mast and Dlab foils are the best I've seen from DT are just next level especially the new DW range . I'll be at Hood river in a few days and the Spencer boys will be there with all the new kits . I'll get to have a crack on it then and post some pics .
