New low volume wave oriented board from Ozone. Similar to their Rise board, it appears to be manufactured by Appletree. Looks really nice, and while I haven't seen pricing, Ozone charges quite a premium for the boards.

If you look at their animation showing foot strap locations it actually shows one with the front strap across the board. That seems like a very interesting but definitely weird configuration. I wonder if anyone has actually played with that?

Noticed that. I think some kite foilers run a strap that way and use it on both tacks instead of a V setup. Definitely wouldn't feel natural to me.

Sure, but it needs a bit more finesse. I put some effort into liking such a setup, but gave up before I got comfortable. Might have something to do with the foils I used at that time. I then changed to a more offset strap configuration instead (the second picture, both the front and the back strap are offset) and was happy and felt at home right away, and have used such a stance (either when riding with straps or without) with many boards afterwards.

But apparently the pro's are using such a setup (front foot in the center of the board) quite a bit.

Edit: Oh, I was referring to a following setup, and not the one across the board that looks strange indeed : )

I really dislike being unstrapped with my front feet so for me an offset front just doesn't work which is too bad since I see the advantages.
That said the Y strap doesn't let me get my feet far enough over centerline to allow using a centered rear strap.

That crosswise configuration looks like it might offer enough foot retention to jump while also getting my front foot well across the board. Looks worth a try if I can find a strap long enough.

Manufacturers please offer lighter colour variations for people who live in areas with very strong sunshine, the darker colours just burn up

^^^ I love it
they end up with me for repair

seriously though I agree. I have boards in the sun that you literally cannot touch after a few mins. The manufacturers need a bit of commonsense
