Hi wingdinger prone foilers,
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum. Just a thought here. Can you prone foil a 100L wing foil board? Something shaped like the smik dedicated wing boards with a 1850cm2 foil. Has anyone got experience with proning these bigger boards with big foils? Any chance I'll be able to do it not having prone foiled before? I'm 90kg. I can surf and sup.

I tried my old 95 litre 5'4 fanatic one time. And yeh it worked I suppose. Was a log compared to my normal prone board but it was fun enough. Why not have a crack.

Heck yeah, if the conditions are idea for logging (Small and manageable). I'm 63 kgs and took out my 5'1" 72 (i think) ltr wing board to demo the armstrong 1850 in some knee-waist high weak clean swell. First wave, I got a 3-1. The next time I took it out the conditions were a bit more hollow and racing with offshores, but still small. I could get in quicker, but there were a few sketchy wipeouts as the board just isn't quite as responsive as I'm used to with my 30L prone.
The limiting factor may be the width of the board. If it is super wide compared to your shoulders, your paddling comfort/effectiveness will suffer.

I have proned a Naish 5.2 85l quite a few times.
As long as you can paddle comfortably (not to wide ) you can prone it i think.
I could duckdive smaller foamies as the lenght is so short.Death gripping it because the volume makes them want to shoot up out the back.
Give it a go.
