Hi i'm looking to build my wing quiver.

I am looking for powerful wings that you can use a size small, compared to other wings.
I also prefer wings with a tighter canopy and very little flutter.

I had a few lessons on a SMIK v3 wing and it seemed to do both.
Recently I have been using a 2023 Duotone Slick and i didn't like it as much, didn't feel as powerful and a more twisty canopy.

Any advice welcome

I have reedin superwing x. Those are very powerful, zero flutter. I ride my 4.7m when others are on 5 and up, but you need a really strong grip for those, they pull very hard

Aluula makes a difference.

I rode Aluula 3 years ago. At that time, they had issues with delaminating. Rolling the wing up, the Aluula seemed extra crunchy. So I switched to folding.

This season, I gave Aluula another try. Now they feel like Dacron rolling them up. All the extreme crunchy noise is gone. So my assumption is, the lamination layer has changed, the material has improved.

I've gained range in each size going with Aluula. Low end and high end is better.

Totally happy with my new Nova pro . Super stiff frame and still flex in the tips. Canopy is pretty tight. Great wing, give it a try. And half the price of aluula.

Thanks, I can't say I think of myself as a poor person, but can't justify the expense of the allula wings.

The mantis does indeed look nice and tight. How do the windows hold up over time?

They look like great wings for the price. I found some 2023 on run off at very good prices.
Thanks for the suggestion

Smik V4

I really like the Smik wings, the V3 is the nicest one I have tried. I was wondering if they lost any power for the size as the V4 is a bit flatter than the V3

My 2022 had been holding up fine. Also look for the Dakine Cyclone, it's a rebranded version of the '22 without harness/paddle mount loops. There are deals out there to be had on the Dakine variant.

Have a look for the Ozone Flow. The canopy is really tight and a wing with very good lowend. I'm 78kg an use the 4,3 as my main wing from 12kn.

Now that's exactly what I'm looking for. Perfectly tight canopy at rest and plenty of shape.
Thank you

I've enjoyed the Neil Pryde Fly this last 6 months. I get the 3.6 going around 20knts at 90kgs with 1200 front w and 95lt board. I notice the Fly 2 uses Challenge fabric (as does Smik 4). Looks way stronger than some fabrics without the $$$$. As in plenty of wings start out tight and blow out after a good season.
