Performance wise between ti and Alloy is harder to feel but on smaller wings it's maybe more noticeable at higher speeds, ti is stronger and stiffer so you can go a bit smaller which then should lean towards less wetter surface area which should mean faster. For sure though more improvement is made in wings and masts for performance but if everything is equal in wings and masts then a Ti fuse should by theory be slightly faster.

The real advantage for Ti is the hassle free side and it just taking this side of hassling completely out of it. For me it's the best thing I have done in terms of just making my life easier.

The other good side well for our Ti is if you are someone who owns more than 1 fuse it is actually cheaper as well. Once someone has the Ti part then the tail sections are cheap compared to buying a whole new fuse so really long term the Ti is better for the hip pocket as well, so really there is no down side.

Haha just reread and noticed you wanted Ti to Carbon haha my bad!! I guess most of the above still stands and it's the ability to go smaller with Ti. With the carbon fuses to get the strength around the mast insert they have to be oversized or warrantys will be a nightmare. The Ti can maybe nearly be half the size so less wetted area means if done right should be faster.

If it just replaces a carbon fuse with the same fittings to mast and foil then there would be marginal gains. I saw the AFS one you are looking at and it is slightly sleeker at the front where it fits to the foil. Very expensive way to get a tiny gain, maybe racing might see the difference. They look cool though.

No worries! When will we see a One Ocean to AFS ti fuse!? I tried to get stringy to make a one ocean to AFS alu fuse but its super low interest to him.

Since my first foil setup (Takuma Kujira with aluminum fuse) I've never bought a fuselage. Cloud IX was monoblock and AFS has been monoblock for me up until now. But.... I need a new mast and gotta get a fuse to ride enduros and silk v2s so the question is throw down on ti and forget about it forever or do the carbon game. Sounds like there's justification either way but I think I'm leaning ti for the set it and forget it.

I will say, I think there will be some tom foolery possible with the AFS ti fuse and the way it's designed. It looks like it will accept monoblock tails down the road if they wanted to do something like that which would be cool.

That mast needs an adapter/fuse for KT - Paul?

Getting the replacement stringy fuse might be the way to go, the adapter is a chonker.
