I just bought a Gong Hipe Pro inflatable (115lt) (don't know if that was the right choice suppose I want to get smaller soon) because I don't have a car. Also 2 2nd hand Ensis Spin Wings. Now I need a foil set. I want to skip a beginner set. I am 67 kg and 1.74 tall. I think agility and tricks are more important than speed and would also like to go foiling at sea again.

I think I will go surfing with little wind (also to learn it) and max 27 knots. So probably 2 front wings I assume.

I am curious which set you guys recommend?

When you buy a foil, you are buying a "foil system". A lot depends on what brads are available in your local market. What your budget is. What is the used market like in your area. You can buy the "great foil", but if you can't get any parts in your area, then when it comes time to progress, you'll have to get another foil system. For example, In Tahiti, Takuma and Naish are the dominant brands. On Maui, Axis, Armstrong, Go Foil are best represented, with many other brands around.

Not having a car, you want some thing that is easy to break down and pack away, so something that doesn't break down small (Foil and Fuse) as one part, or something that takes a 12+ screws to put together, might turn out to be a major pain over time. Some brands require more tools to rig and de-rig, while others just need a torx key.

Thanks, guys. I was thinking starting with a Takuma Helium 1500. I will check out Axis. Didn't know the brand.
