The tempo foils sure look cool and riders have being performing at races and downwind... but with such a steep price are they worth it for the everyday rider or should we stick to the fireball?

Unfortunately, not me, I left AXIS this summer for Duotone, I had the Spitfires, the HPS's and in the end, the weight and cost was just too much. So switched to a Duotone Glide 2.0 900 set, with a DLAB Slim carbon mast and I was blown away, much better value for money, The glide, breach and speed is amazing. I found AXIS getting left behind and the prices just don't relate. Also I noticed with the AXIS my Duotone board used to ride with the nose too high, so I also think pairing foil sets with the brand of board has to be considered.

I would say very few, if any, everyday riders will end up getting a tempo setup. Prices are crazy - a wing+ fuse+ rear with the biggest wing (1099) will set you back around $3800 AUD thats without mast. You drop $500 off if you use the ali tail segment and a rear wing you already have.

Now I don't hate axis for making this foil. It's great they're pushing the limits and whenever racing is involved things get very fancy and very expensive but I can't see many riders forking out that much for a wing/ fuse setup.
Now the surge on the other hand ... got my 950, can't wait to test it out in some solid bumps
