Interested to know whether anyone wing foils in Jervis Bay and where in particular. Live in Callala and think the north easterly in summer might be ok but not sure about the winter winds.
Was hoping the average swell we get might be good for foiling downwind when feathering the wing.

Callala can be fun In southerly. Launch at boat ramp go upwind to the reef and dw back again or if it's big ride the waves on the reef . Works sw to se with good fetch across the bay

Anywhere works, just some spots you need to paddle out to the wind line.

Look up Dave/Dr Surf here or online. He is part of a group who foils from Huskisson and also Swan Lake. They also have an active WhatsApp group.
I'll be out at Culburra this morning. Launch from the most northerly point of the beach at the car park near the holiday park. Good spot in the NE.
Second what siny said about Culburra in all southerly wind.

The size of JB is such that the bumps are plenty big enough to ride downwind with the wing parked for very long distances. Good equipment and some imagination is all the is required.

There's a friendly crew of foilers who launch from the north end of Collingwood Beach, just south of Moona Creek in Vincentia.
This spot has good wind, good access and you can cover the whole Bay from here if you like.

The swell is variable in the bay depending on the direction, but the north east wind chop out in the bay can be good from this location as there's a long fetch for it to build some size in a decent wind.

I've seen Anyboard, just about, very nearly, almost paddle into a long downwinder on his downwind SUP
And I've also seen Anyboard, trailing the wing most of the way, just ride the wind chop from out of sight upwind to just about out of sight downwind.
Yeah, Jervis Bay is nice.

With an average nor-east wind Wingers are usually on 4m & 5m wings depending on wind, weight & skill. Kite foilers on 2.5m to 10m depending on wind, weight & skill.

Generally a nor-east seabreeze comes up late morning and last the rest of the day and is usually reliable in an average weather year. (If such a thing exists anymore )
