Finally got our hands on this little puppy!
Very easy to install.
Mark the centre line of the board with string.
Find the balance point (with fins in - duuh Robby!) either with a sling off the garage roof or use the tope of a Saw horse. Balance the board and mark the balance point. This is the centre of the handle when fitted.
Cut out windows in your grip using the two eliptical TABS as templates.
Remove grip. Lightly sand. Prime using primer supplied. Stick down and wait for it to set.
Waiting 72 hours is a bit of a bind. I lifted the board after 16 hours without any drama's but the recommended glue time is 72 hours.
I left the grip on underneath the handle so knuckles dont get worked on the deck of the board when carrying it.
Best fitted in the centre of the board to avoid catching your feet. Like anything you will get used to knowing how to avoid this issues, especially as the handle is moulded. I am yet to surf it, but based on its position on the board I don't really see a problem.
Because the handle is quite long there is plenty of room to move your hand to find the most comfortable balance point. I set it so there was plenty of slack. Next time I would set it so the handle is a bit tighter and sits flatter on the board as it always stretches over time.
Go surf it! RR $40

PS: Not recommended for use in VICO as it wont set in under 18 degrees C !
