I'm pretty sure Casso is about your weight.

It floats up to 90kg not to bad,it's little tippy to start with but once you find the sweet spot its no worries here's a vid with Trever Hendy who weighs about 90kg odd on the 9'3. Wouldn't call it a learners board but is a great board to downsize to as the surfing performance is SICK.

I paddled Casso's board on Saturday I'm 6ft 88kgs , it floated me fine and is very stable at 29.5 wide , it's really easy to surf and paddels over broken waves etermely well , I sat back and watched Casso and Robdog rip up Noosa first point on there 9-3's.

Rob

P.S: Jacko classic video nice ending

I too have ridden Casso,s famous 9'3" Naish"Woody"(which is starting to sound like a really "loose"board)I weigh in at 95kg.I had a few wobbly moments when I got on it,but once I got it on a wave it was ureal.I ran home and rang my mate Karl Hassel and ordered a custom 9'4".It arrived last weekend, and its the best thing, goes really well. After being on an 11'er for the last 4 months the shorter boards feel way better,

I am about that size and weight. What is the big difference between the Naish 9'6 and 9'3?

For someone who does not come from a strong surfing background what would be the best of these two to come down from my 11ft?

Rec retail is still $1999 and the 9'3" is just alot more alive under your feet. Loose, fast and more accessible than you'd think.

I would say the 9 6" , for sure as jacko just stated in the previous post, the 9 3" is probably not a real good beginners board. The 9 6" is super stable and surf's unreal.... Although after surfing my new 8 6" a lot lately It is a little more mal like than the shorter boards... A great allround board though

I felt the 9'3" was probley a tad small for my weight, thats why I got my shaper to beef it up to take my weight.
Karl Hassel(who has always made my boards) has just been approached to do some custom C4 boards through Simon Dodd in Newie,so he knows his stuff,

Hey Kym,
In SA, Karl N is riding a 7'10" x 30.5" and I think he is about your weight, Josh B is riding a board around the same and he is arnie swarzinegger

at 92kg. I am at a fat ass 92kg (love wild turkey and pizza), just shaped 2 boards for myself, one is 8'6" x 30.5" and the other 8'3" x 30.
So the naish 9'3" will float you easy, its just a matter of balance.
Regards,
Scotty

Thanks guys, after a few sessions im feeling my 11,4 is already getting a bit big for how I like to ride boards, I have a fair background for surfing and windsurfing ( scotty mac tried to tell me it was to big !!(true) but some other person (dean you maggot LOL said it was to small for me as im so heavy) grrrrr!!!! so I think my next step would be a naish 9,3 !
thanks for your input guys ..
