It was a classic glassy day today down at St Kilda Marina today.

But the jellies are back..Only a few days ago there were none.

..and they're big buggers.

I caught up with my mate John and he had paddled all the way across from Willy.

We stopped for a while in a big swarm of jellies.. It was like a jelly fish soup.

I told John that one sting from these and you're dead within seconds.. but he was still keen to pick one up in his hand.

I had paddled almost all the way back across to Williamstown and left John and headed back alone across the top of the bay.. and came across another swarm.

I tried not to fall in as I leaded over to take more pictures.. I've never seen so many at once.

Once back over near the pier there were swarms of these little bate fish that the penguins love to eat.

I then saw my mate John (another John) and his dog.. John was on his new AST and his dog loved it.

Ooooh-Laaaa-Laaaar!!... The new instructor from the SupBus was hot.. and I mean HOT!

They had a new SupBus van...so anyone could drive it.. No one but Nic could ever drive the big bus.

The boys hard at work.. Pretending to be working while they perved on all the half naked women walking past and topping up the tan.

Nice shots.

A few years back Sydney had about 2 summers (from memory, but it was a while ago) of jelly fish infestations similar to what you have in picture #5.

Nowadays though, not a jellyfish to be seen. Weird.

I blame global warming...

Those jellyfish were in the bay last year in early Autum followed by thousands of introduced starfish that you could see on the sea floor later in the season.

Despite what all the experts tell us how clean the bay is, when I see all those jellyfish/starfish the bay kind of reminds me of the lake next to the nuclear facility where Homer Simpson works.
