for the North East Pastoral fire weather district.
Issued at 3:37 pm CDT on Thursday 8 October 2026.
The Country Fire Service advises you to:

- Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station,
www.cfs.sa.gov.au, and www.bom.gov.au.
- Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.

Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather district:
North East Pastoral
Weather Situation
Freshening northwesterly winds combined with hot and dry conditions Friday are
expected to result in extreme fire danger over parts of the North East Pastoral
district. A sharp, strong and gusty cool southwesterly change is expected to
move rapidly east in the afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms following the
change.
