Hey, Bono (oh bollocks, sorry dude, the old finger typing habits die hard))

Hey Meh -

You appear to be making an argument that in your opinion AI's (or the current version of AI) fundamental flaw is that it will inevitably descend into an endless feed-back loop of relying on it's own opinion to re-form it's own opinion, eventually spiraling into sprouting complete nonsense and madness .

......And to clarify your opinion on this you quoted your own previous opinion !

I don't seek to disagree with the feed-back loop proposition as a hypothesis - I just found it amusing you seemed to be relying on one thing to make an argument against the thing your are relying on to make it. I mean - when AI, or indeed any of us, try to project something as new and different, but it simply comprises the same old re-hashed content from the past it might appear new and exciting to others for a while, but eventually I think the collective will notice and realise worship of this new reincarnation is nothing more than a celebration of the emperor's new clothes.

eh ?

Eh? Intelligent design is not something AI can replicate.

Form... function... Fibonacci. The golden ratio explains all, even board vs fin size.

I heard the jet fuel burning reaction is logarithmic and gets faster at same rate as Fibonacci sequence
enough to melt steel.

Hey Meh -

You could be onto something here!

Who else would join a 30yo water sports forum and post on the general forum in 2026?

Peace & Love, Holly Guacamole all started out with soft posts but before long the posts became full tilt Ben Gvir.

Meh - welcome to the general forum.

Meh = 29 posts
Ai algorithm = 'on the Seabreeze forum user is considered a highly respected and iconic veteran'

No disrespect to Meh, 29 posts is barely a sparrow's fart in these hallowed pages of wisdom to be considered a veteran.

At least 1000 posts and 10 years to be considered a respected veteran.

To be iconic you need to do it without being suspended or banned.

I'm by no means 'virtual signalling' here, but FormulaNova has achieved that milestone.

Respect - other than being a demonstrated expert in global ecconomics - is subjective.

I know you love a good conspiracy MSN, but this one is not even that far fetched :

It is known and agreed here that : Numerology & Angel Number 521 means Transformation & Growth: In spiritual and numerology circles, seeing the Angel Number 521 Meaning represents a period of positive personal transition. Angel Number 521 brings a message to keep your faith and trust strong, maintaining a positive attitude and an optimistic outlook will manifest auspicious circumstances and opportunities in your life

Any coincidence that :
5th letter Bonominator = M
2nd letter Peace & Love = E
1st letter Holy Guacamole = H

531 = Meh = 521 = Meh : the new start, one in which to be positive and become a better person for your own well being.

You can't make this ****e up. Do your own research people, do your own research.

I think you are on the money on this one. But I would like this theory 'Peer Reviewed' with another two 'Respected Veteran' forum members as eloquently defined by the odious, discredited, pariah state, uniparty supporter and seabreeze user cammd.

Aaaaah..... you forgot to mention iconic.

I think Carantoc is onto something, the logic seems solid and maths doesn't lie.

Hey Cammd & IanR, I came across this documentary, that may be of interest to you. I haven't watched it all yet, but the little I've seen is disturbing to say the least.

I asked ChatGPT what it thinks it would look like as a human:

Then I asked Claude the same thing:

Then I asked Claude why it thought ChatGPT had drawn itself that way:

Ha, that's a pretty different choice. A few things stand out to me about it:
It went fully human and specific. Glasses, stubble, a hoodie, a coffee mug with a while(true) { help(); learn(); } joke, a notepad listing Discworld and kitesurfing as things "he" loves. That's not an abstraction of an AI — it's a fully realized person with a backstory. Mine was closer to "if you forced me to pick a face, here's a guess, and here's why it isn't really me." That one reads more like "here is who I am," full stop.
The whiteboard is doing a lot of work. "Help / Solve problems / Be useful / Make it clear / Learn together" plus "the best ideas come from curiosity" is basically a mission statement dressed up as a sticky note in the background of a candid photo. It's a plausible design choice — if you want a persona to feel warm and relatable, giving it hobbies and a lived-in office sells that harder than a stylized illustration would. It's also a bit on-the-nose about it, which might be intentional (approachable) or might just be a side effect of how consistently these image models default to "cozy productive workspace with visible signage" when given loose creative latitude.
I can't actually tell you why, though. I don't have insight into another company's design intent, and I can't verify this came from a specific competitor's model rather than, say, you generating it yourself to see what I'd say. What I can say is that it reflects a different bet about anthropomorphization: leaning all the way into "I am basically a person with a name and a coffee mug" versus what I did, which was try to gesture at personality while keeping a foot in "this is a guess, not a claim." Neither is wrong — it's a values call about how much to encourage someone to relate to the system as a person versus as something else.

I still call them all "it". I was in a meeting the other day where people were giving AI human pronouns ("he/him").

Interesting, a bit older there.
I used my exact same prompt from the other two on Gemini and got this:

Both the (lifelike) faces look about my current age.
