Off topic I know, but I'm a bit off topic today .

I'm a bit slow I know, but I don't get it. Please explain?

The drugs were legal

worry about your own lives

its people who don't understand addiction need to open their minds a little further than the west Australian and channel 9 news

yes he was stupid to take them in the first place but now he has, he needs help, space and a lot of time as does every other addict who is trying to get clean.

Forget about the football and the club and think about the person we are addicted to the wind image the cravings if you had to give that up over night

I'm not into to drugs but i have seen how hard it is for someone to get off them and it isn't easy, they have to take one day at at time and spend the rest of their lives going to meetings.

not the easiest thing to do with the media and public following your every move

He will get clean and there a very high chance he will relapse again that's the thing about drugs they control the addict even when they are not using them

The best advice, as we've heard so many times before, is not to use them in the first place

don't follow the crowd and lets hope he can get his life back on track cause its going to be along and hard journey

after all before the drugs he had brought a lot pleasure and inspiration to a lot of peoples lives lets not forget that

There is no quick fix to addiction

As for all druggies are scum maybe SOME of them didn't get the privilege up bringing that most of us have been lucky to have

SOME of them may have suffered physical and sexual assault as a child, being dumped into children's homes and parents that are druggies very hard to come though that unscathed

i know I'm going to get hammered for writing all this but sometime we need to take a step back cause attacking somebody ain't going to help anyone

As most or all of you would know that they are going to drop his charges on monday because the drugs weren't Illicit drugs. But it says something abot when I am sitting in science at school work on a assignment on performance enhancing drugs and everyone has pics of Ben on it lol shows that people have stoped Idolizing him most of it stoped when he was first caught. Also one of my mates who loves the Eagles is so happy that Ben has been sacked because he is making the Eagles look like a bunch of Druggies. I will be so Pissed if they let him come back now.

Cheers Pittsy

Now they are saying traces of cocaine and ecstasy were found on a 20 dollar note he was carrying. WTF???? Im sure most of my 20 dollar notes would come pack positive to some drug test. The number of people the notes go through, unlucky coincidence. I think the eagles and the afl commity or whoever they are, all jumped the gun a bit.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Little had been confirmed about his actions when they announced his sacking. I think it is unfiar for the poor bugger, who is going through a tough time.

His had so many warnings though, and he refused to give a drug test after he was picked up. His buggered up so many times they had to. He has given the clube a bad name and he should have been gone the first time. I think his just bad for the sport and should have been gone ages ago. Remember this is certainly not the first mistake his made. He makes them all the time, he had to have gone by now wether he was caught this time or not. Theres suspiccions which is by far enough for the amount of warnings his had.

In the states the law have been testing bank notes for ages as an estimate of cocain (and other drug) use in the community. Almost every note in circulation has traces of bolivias finset. The levels on each note tell them what kind of quantities are getting around.

The problem with Cousins and other sporty heroes is that they haven't had to develop any other interest or career outside of sport. When the dream ends (and the average AFL career is ony 3 yrs) they are stuffed and have no back-up. Add to that the lack of worship they once had and it's not good. Every Player should be made to do some kind of part time study or work outside footy I reckon, at least for the 1st 2-3 years.

Cousins is a person (you know a human being)who has a serious problem and he needs to get away from all but his family and sort the cr@p out. Some things are bigger than a game of footy...

It bakes my cookies though when class A morons like Sam (my face is too tight to impress coked up hookers 1/3 my age on my boat) Newman and Derm the perm (my face is also too tight) slag off Cousins and others when they simply have gotten away with it for years... Hypocrits![}:)]

Dont for one second think that Ben Cousins is washed up.
In a year or so he'll be a successful stock or finance broker driving around town in a new masseratti or the likes.
He is independantly wealthy now and like most of the rich and famous
he will fall on his feet and his adoring/fawning fans will forgive and forget.
SUCH IS LIFE.
