The title is Great MomentS in NZ Sport
Is winning a test match by 16 runs, to draw the series, to fail to capture the Trans-Tasman trophy against the poorest Aussie cricket team of the last 15 years really a great moment ?
It is one of the great moments in NZ sport for sure - we had to win it twice when the third umpire was used!! It may not be one of yr best teams ever but before this series how many of our guys would you have picked ahead of yours? It certainly wasn't our best team. Infact our best player of the last 10 yrs was sidelined minutes before the match. We blew the first test for sure and the first day of this one. But they showed great character to fight back the next 3 days. Its a drawn series and that is the reason you retain the cup. We do not really care too much about that. Its been 26 long yrs between drinks and we will enjoy it! It maybe another 26 before we get to do it again!!

I have seen some pretty offensive postings on here of late but implying the Aussie cricket team is 'my' team is inexcusable. I call on the moderators to purge this slur on my character.
Whilst I agree winning the match having lost the toss was always going to be tricky, that Clarke is but a pimple on Vittori's arse and that the Aussie selectors seem to have the disease that crippled the mighty motherland for a few years back along I am not sure where the moment
s were.
Phil Hughes caught in the slips, Ponting striking out, Clarke failing with bat, ball and captaincy seem more of an aussie failure than a great NZ victory.
However, for sure any time that a team with Ponting and Clarke in it looses should be celebrated loud and hard.
