It is considered in-Australian to have tomato sauce with humble pie as opposed to BBQ sauce ?

Pretty sure it's served cold and without any sauce.

A friend also asked me about winning a bet and what his expectations are on what losers should do.

I personally would want the losers to place stones in their shoes and listen to Rodriguez Sugarman on repeat for 14 hours, between 8am and 10pm one day.

Or failing that they should post video on Seabreeze general forum of them rimming their boss.

I don't know what is the fair and right thing to do.

Any advice for my friend?

I just checked using incognito mode and there is some recent post from a rimmer wanting to apologise and asking if they can place round smooth pebbles or sharp gravel in their shoes.

Nothing to worry yourself over.

ASX200 index opened at 6676 on 15/6/22
7161 on 15/6 23
So that's about a 7% return on capital, plus about another 6 or 7% dividends.
Looks like Bitcoin got about the same return

I remember that. Wasn't it something to do with Tamagotchis or Cabbage Patch Dolls or them things you had to jump over on Donkey Kong on the Atari ?

Is it still around ? I'd assumed it had disappeared ages ago.

Nothing controversial there, it's no different to any other investment.

39% is a stretch. If you hold over a year, you get a 50% discount on gains, so depending on the tax bracket you are in, you pay between 0 and 25% tax on the gain. Do the maths!

Generally, the more tax you pay, the more money you make.

He does make some valid points. Bitcoin seems to have shot up wildly these past few weeks, which is out of proportion with rest of market.

This massive pump today could be due to World Kangaroo Day. Anyway, Americans will wake up in a few hours, looking forward to see what happens.

Price is now on the precipice of doubling in value. Unlike your asx shares, your stupid superannuation or your savings accounts

What are your thoughts now?

In hindsight, do you think I've been blessed with, a special gift from God, is it just incredible luck, or am I just way more intelligent than the average pillock on Seabreeze?

Fair call and well done! You must have worked hard to get that million in your super account. How did your super perform in last 18 months - did you earn the standard 12% interest in the past 18 months?

With hindsight, and your obvious knowledge of all things related to finance, can you name one company/etf/sector/asset with a comparable market cap that has out performed Bitcoin in its short 14 year history.

Hahaha, that's right. In many ways you always lose as a trader. The constant greed/fear dillema.

I've got much better trading crypto over time and I'll be taking some profits today.

I'm wondering if it will move back into the repetitive UP 10% / DOWN 10% pattern that it had a while ago. I couldn't help but think that was a manipulation by someone that was squeezing the lemon again and again.

There must be an AI out there somewhere that will tell exactly what it's going to do now?

SEC will be making a decision on the BlackRock etf before Jan 10. So there is plenty of speculation about that decision. Then later in year is the next BTC halving which has always created volatility. I think another all time high is coming.
