My wife's in to the Psychic/Astrology/Medium things and I tended to only believe in telepathy until I had a session with an astrologer... took my birth date and said this is how your feeling now, this is how you'll feel in the future AND he was pretty accurate.

All I'm saying is the astrologer was accurate, it's not like I read my horoscope (vague BS that could apply to anyone) everyday or at all.

I like to be balanced, so I'm open to alternative ideas, philosophies, metaphysics and even pseudoscience... the weighting of each varies but minimal in my thought process.

It's very easy to just say everything is bull, cos we don't understand it and it doesn't fit our world belief.
Without being open to ideas you'll have a hard time being innovative.

Astrology is easy to debunk, but at the same time it offers up an alternative view that my lead to an insight within real science.

And if you ask a psychic to tell you what number your thinking of between 1 and 1000000000 and they get it right, well that's good enough for me. If they can't, well you know they're just talking crap.

You have to have a laugh at folk who deny everything that is outside of their beliefs.

My house mate is a denier of all things inexplicable. We were discussing afterlife one night and his opinion is that it is all a heap of crap. In the same breath though, redneck that he is, he told me he believed in ghosts!!!!!!!!!!

He saw one in Sydney. He and his missus had just finished copulating and were having a cigarette when an apparition passed through the door then opened the door to the wardrobe, took a jacket out and walked out. Gobsmacked, he turned to his woman who had gone white and said "Did you see that". They went out into the lounge were their friend was sitting shocked at having seen it as well.

Everything else of course is pure bull****e.

He read Hick's book though and is now an ardent critic of the United States

Sure, if you want to know the phases of Jupiter, a good astrologer will be able to tell you..

It's the moment after, when they then tell you how the phases of Jupiter will impact on your chances of picking up on the weekend, you know it's bull..

They are Bonkers, no matter how accurate their moon charts are..

Just as chemistry is alchemy

Much of the things discovered by alchemists was the beginning of chemistry.. But to be an alchemist post enlightenment is also Bonkers.. There is no Elixir, and Gold cannot be derived from Lead.. I guess that all sounds logical to somebody who believes the Queen is a Lizard..
