Insurance is a scam...
Take responsibility for your own actions
And phuck insurance...
I hit an old ladies car when trying to park once, I left her a note, which she came across as I was leaving it, bill came to 1200 bucks, she was so happy we are still good friends...
Insurance was near a grand a year with two grand excess...
Bought a new car, first ever, finance insisted I insure, kids broke into car first day of school holidays, excess, two grand and wont cover missing kite or sunnies or phone, repairs were four hundred bucks,
phuck insurance
Hey Doc!
Nobody needs comprehensive car insurance but EVERYBODY needs third party insurance.
The third party on your rego covers people damge but not property so if you run intop a little old lady and give her a blood nose and also wreck her Mercedes, the blood nose will be patched up by your rego insurance but the $50,000. to patch up the mercedes will come out of your pocket. And if you don't have $50,000 then her insurance will pay for it and chase you for the rest of your life to get it back off YOU.
It's dirt cheap, about $150 a year with a $500 excess. So any minor bingles you can fix at your own expense but anything big you can pass on to the insurance company.
