Yes it's true cats do kill. Saw the neighbours cat sniff out a bird from deep bushes, their sense of smell is amazing.

Going thru towels bigtime. Have to syringe food/water as won't eat,but vet says all great, but not for me it ain't.

A good cat is a dead cat

A being with a higher intellect might view people in the same way.
We do to all other species what cats do to just a few.
We can see the problem with cats but seem to be completely blind to the exact same problem in us.

Don't overdo it with the food. If it's not active it can survive on very little.
It wont thank you at all for teasing the life out of it by shoving a syringe down it's gob. All it will remember is that when it was feeling bad you made it worse.
When it needs it it will show some interest in it.
Although I do the same to sick calves but calves are so dumb you can cut their nuts off one day and they have completely forgotten by the next day. It would take me at least a week to forget that. Maybe even two.

Poor kitty.... I have two cats that live indoors, they go outside for 'picnics' in the garden, wearing their harnesses on nice days, have access to an enclosed verandah where they can lie in their beanbags in the sun, they get a blend of four different types of food each day, top shelf varieties and fresh mince, get brushed each day, flea, mite and worm treatments, they're vaccinated and desexed. The only thing they've ever killed are bugs that make their was into the house, an abundance of fluffy toy mice and a few shadows...they come when they're called by name, sometimes they even hang out with me when there's no food on offer...pets are easy to look after responsibly and a joy to have around....I don't think it's the cats that are dumb...

Chilla, a green thumb for responsible cat ownership!
Sadly I think you are in the minority...

I still maintain that a tinfoil hat would've avoided the moggy having to be out of the flat in the first place.
Prevention is always better than a cure.
Or a vet bill.
