The reason why I brought this up was because the other day I was on the Kwinana freeway in the left hand lane doing 100kmh and came up to a car doing 90kmh and a number of cars infront of him so I went into the right hand lane to overtake. While overtaking the 8 or so cars a P plater looked as if he was doing 150kmh came right up my arse so i could see the whites of his eyes. Then he started to swerve all over the lane as if to say hurry the @#$% up! Then as I past the slower cars and was about to pull over to let the prick past he darted across into the left lane and swerved back across within inches of the front of my car as if to say @#$% you!
I will tell everybody this much... I will not be forced or bullied with any sort of road rage activity to go any faster than the sign posted speed limit. 100kmh means 100kmh.
So let me get another point straight. In this situation if I was to speed up to lets say 110kmh or even 120kmh and got flashed by a multinova or hand held or even pulled over by an unmarked police car would I get let off if I was to say I was in the right hand lane and I was overtaking.
So therefore I wasnt in the wrong and I wasnt breaking the law?
So once again you are all inconsiderate and hypacritical just as much as every other Perth driver. What makes you have more right to be in the right hand lane?
You all have the same mentality as each other.

really there is no need for a right hand lane, no one shouiild have to oertake anyone if everyone is doing the correct speed, however i understand that there are many other reasons and discussions that will take place and i am leaving myself wiiiiidddddeeee OPEN, but i am only trying to put my point across

Greeny you didn't say anything about overtaking, you'd have got a much different response from me if you had.
If you checked your mirror before pulling out, and the d1ck head was a fair way back, there's nothing at all wrong with your driving, if however you didn't check your mirror before pulling out, or you could see the guy wasn't too far behind and coming fast, some blame attaches to you. It's better to wait for the idiot to go past rather than take the risk of him running up your bum.
Then just before you pass the last guy, it's a good idea to use your left indicator, to let the d1ckhead behind you know what you're going to do.

And no the cops certainly won't let you off if you say you speed up cause some guy behind was giving you a hard time. When and how you break the law, is your responsibility, it can't be shifted to somebody else.

Greeny,

When confronted with that type of situation there is an easy solution to this which is actualy encouraged when you get pillocks on the road who try and run you of it.

Take down their licence number, next and most importantly, take down the licence number of someone nearby which has witnessed the incedent. If you have someone in the car with a camera phone take a couple of happy snaps off your new mate.

Then get on the phone to Mr Plodd and report the incident.

They will chase the tosser up and with the new laws will charge him with reckless driving or impound their cars under the hoon laws.

Quite often if you can give the details about where the pill is they will actually try to catch them on the road.

Whatever you do though, don't stop and get into a barney with them, there are more and more dickheads out there looking for an excuse to go feral on some poor driver, my dear old dad (a pensioner) has had 2 seperate incidents meeting this charming group of peoples so far ( I've never laughed so much as when he told me about them)

Things like this dont bother me. I just wanted to know how poeple felt about the right hand lane?
Obviously the majority think that its their right to speed in the right hand lane and if someone else is in it and not going fast enough for them then its time to put on the @#$% wit cap.
All I can say to everyone is to please drive safe. We all have someone at home who loves us and wants us to arrive safely

Wasn't Derick, looked a bit like his North sail, but it was an arrows I think, belongs to another local. The other guy was nebbian, visiting from Queensland, you'll probably see more of him.

Looks like you were having fun?

yep, but as you say wasn't the best.

What sail did you have up?

my 5.3 wave Avalon sail co.

Maybe tomorrow will turn on?

Blue board was me, who did you think was me???

Yep, that was his car, you should have knocked!!!

Tried to twist his arm to have dinner and stay, but all he'd accept was 1 beer, then he went off to the caravan park.

I first thought it was you on the blue board but then thought Derick had a blue board. I then thought you where on the yellow board because the other bloke was having trouble staying upwind and did some killer catapults!
You where ripping it up! You got some nice little rides! I sat and watched for a while. Wish I crashed your party now. Would have been good to catch up and to have met Nebs. Will he be around tomorrow? I finish work at 3pm. Can I stop by your place?

Nebs is going to ring to see what the conditions are like, so if it's on he'll be here, so should Hardy with any luck.
Yes by all means drop in.

Perth drivers are complete selfish numbnut w@nkers that would run over their own granny to get one spot further up the line...

Me - I cruise along in the left lane of the freeway every day laughing my man boobies off at the frustrated and agro morons queing up every day in the stationary right lane... The 'fast lane' never is that is why the tossers get so miffed. Absolute morons! (note the proliferation of 4WDs in this lane too). I really don't think one spot forward or back is going to change the outcome of life as i know so that helps deal with bumper huggers and other assorted moronic Perth icons..
